Prof. Chris G. Van de Walle has been awarded the Aneesur Rahman Prize for Computational Physics from the American Physical Society

The Prize recognizes his work in the “development and application of first-principles methods for computing the structural, electronic, and optoelectronic properties of point defects and interfaces.”

Professor Van de Walle has been awarded the 2025 Aneesur Rahman Prize for Computational Physics from the American Physical Society (APS), the highest honor given by APS for work in that field. The Prize was established in 1992 as a means of recognizing outstanding work and disseminating information in computational physics. The prize will be awarded at the upcoming APS March meeting in Los Angeles.
