Dr. Fangzhou Zhao recognized with prestigious award from NERSC
Dr. Fangzhou Zhao received the NERSC High Performance Computing Achievement Award for High Impact Scientific Achievement
Dr. Fangzhou Zhao received the “NERSC High Performance Computing Achievement Award for High Impact Scientific Achievement". Dr. Zhao was recognized for developing a first-principles computational formalism to calculate the rate of trap-assisted Auger-Meitner recombination. The result is a breakthrough that could eliminate efficiency barriers in LEDs and other common optoelectronic devices.
The NERSC High Performance Computing Achievement Award for High Impact Scientific Achievement recognizes work that has had or is expected to have, an exceptional impact on scientific understanding, engineering design for scientific facilities, and/or a broad societal impact. The prestigious award started in 2013 as a way to recognize extraordinary contributions from scientists who use NERSC in their research.
