Mark Turiansky’s dissertation has been selected as the winner of the 2022 Lancaster Dissertation Award in the field of Mathematics, Physical Sciences and Engineering
Graduating in June of 2022, Mark Turiansky’s dissertation has been selected as the winner of the 2022 Lancaster Dissertation Award in the field of Mathematics, Physical Sciences and Engineering!
The award will be presented at the Graduate Division Commencement Ceremony on June 10, 2022. In addition, Mark will be the UC Santa Barbara’s entrant in the national competition sponsored by the Council of Graduate Schools and ProQuest. The competition was quite competitive; the Award Committee selected Marks’ dissertation due to its sophistication, originality, and exceptional scholarship.
