Prof. Chris Van de Walle recognized as a 2021 Highly-Cited Researcher
2021 marks the 5th consecutive year in which Prof. Van de Walle received the distinction
Professor Chris Van de Walle was named a Highly Cited Researcher, according to the annual list generated by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thompson-Reuters). Researchers on the list have demonstrated significant and broad influence in their fields, reflected in their publication of multiple papers that were highly cited by their peers over the past decade. The 2021 list contains 6,602 highly cited researchers in various fields from more than 70 countries and regions, ten of them from UCSB. Professor Van de Walle has been included in the list five years in a row (2017-2021), an unusual distinction and a strong indication of the sustained impact of his group’s research over a long time.
