Andrew Rowberg and Nicholas Adamski on Championship Bridge Team

The UCSB Overbidders Anonymous bridge team won the nationwide Online College Bridge Championship this past summer, defeating teams from Georgetown, Yale, Caltech, Northwestern, Georgia Tech, and (in the finals) Harvey Mudd to capture the crown. Andrew Rowberg started the UCSB Bridge Club in 2017 and captained the championship-winning team, which also featured Nicholas Adamski from the Van de Walle group. VdW alumni Drs. Michael Swift and Hartwin Peelaers were among Andrew's first bridge recruits, and Michael helped commentate some matches in the tournament via Twitch.
