Qimin Yan has been awarded the 2011 outstanding graduate student research achievement award by the Solid State Lighting and Energy Center (SSLEC)
"For supporting the development of high-efficiency light emitters through first-principles calculations and device simulations of strain effects, optical polarization, and doping."
